Vladimir Putin to run for Russian president again

Vladimir Putin informed participant of the special military operation Artem Zhoga about his plans to run for a new presidential term. RIA Novosti reported.

This will be Vladimir Putin’s fifth presidential term. He was first elected leader of Russia on March 26, 2000, and was then re-elected in 2004, 2012 and 2018. Before the 2012 elections, the presidential term was increased from four to six years. Later, a constitutional reform took place in the Russian Federation, after which Vladimir Putin had the opportunity to run for president again next year.

The presidential elections will take place in Russia from March 15 to March 17, 2024. The resolution was adopted by members of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation at a commission meeting on Friday.
