Electronic bracelets for tracking suspects will begin to be used within 3-4 months. Justice Minister of Kyrgyzstan Ayaz Bayetov announced at a meeting of the Committee on Law and Order, Combating Crime and Corruption of the Parliament.
Deputies considered a bill on introduction of a system of control over suspects in the form of electronic bracelets.
It is proposed to amend the Criminal Procedure Code of Kyrgyzstan and introduce a new type of preventive measure in the form of electronic surveillance through the use of technical control devices.
According to the Minister of Justice, this type of measure is used in many countries around the world.
The price of bracelets varies from $100 to $1,500.

He recalled that the bracelets would be purchased at the expense of the republican budget.
Ayaz Baetov noted that 94 percent of suspects are taken into custody now. After the introduction of bracelets, their number will be reduced significantly.
