Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov, as part of his working trip to Chui region, took part in the opening of a pilot project to install a mini-hydroelectric power station (HPS) at OCHK-1. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
Akylbek Japarov was demonstrated the operation of a hydropower plant, which can be used to generate up to 200 kilowatts of electricity.
«We fully support the development of renewable energy,» he said.
During the working trip, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers gave a number of instructions to the heads of relevant government bodies, in particular the Ministry of Energy and the Water Resources Service, to provide technical conditions for the construction of such hydropower plants when constructing irrigation canals.
Akylbek Japarov expressed gratitude to the scientific and engineering center CONAS at the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after Iskhak Razzakov, which attracted investments for the implementation of this project.
