A national sociological survey on the topic «Attitude of Kyrgyzstanis to current issues of domestic policy and the current international situation» was conducted by the Society Research Center of the Bishkek State University named after Karasaev.

Respondents were surveyed at the end of October 2023.

The majority of survey participants support the actions of the country’s leadership to combat organized crime — 61 percent.

About 80 percent of respondents trust the president of the country. The level of trust in Sadyr Japarov in most regions remains high — from 83 percent to 91 percent.

At least 70 percent of respondents believe that under President Japarov the country’s international prestige and international relations with other states have improved.

The majority of those who took part in the opinion poll (53 percent) believe that Kyrgyzstan should take a neutral position in connection with the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

The survey was conducted by combining two methods of data collection: telephone flash survey using random sampling and online survey using spontaneous sampling.

A total of 1,518 people from all seven regions and Bishkek city participated in the survey.

The purpose of the survey is to measure the public opinion of citizens of Kyrgyzstan on topical issues, in particular, on the actions of the country’s leadership in combating organized crime, assessment of the activities of the authorities, and the international situation.
