Employment services employed almost 13,000 Kyrgyzstanis for nine months of 2023. The press service of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration reported.
In total, since the beginning of the year, employers have reported 18,800 vacancies, about 70 percent of them have been closed. At least 6,000 jobs remained unclaimed.
Unemployment benefits were provided to 134 citizens.
Earlier, the Ministry of Labor proposed to increase the amount of unemployment benefits from 300 soms to 2,000 soms. The ministry explained this by saying that the Constitution stipulates that benefits and other social assistance should not be lower than the legal minimum subsistence level.
