Maximum retail and wholesale prices for tin wheat bread made from first-grade flour and bakery products (flatbread) were set in Kyrgyzstan. Deputy Chairman of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, Zheenaly Orozbaev, announced at a press conference.
The prices were set for one kilogram. This is due to the fact that bread differs from each other in weight and technology depending on the region.
Approximate price is:
If on average in Bishkek a flatbread weighs 270 grams, then its retail price cannot be higher than 27 soms, for a loaf of bread weighing 320 grams — 20 soms.

«We will monitor the market situation for 90 days. For non-compliance with the set prices, a fine of 13,000 soms is imposed for legal entities, 3,000 soms — for individuals,» Zheenaly Orozbaev said.
Restrictions do not apply to bread made of high-grade flour. The Cabinet of Ministers introduced state regulation only for products made from first-grade flour.
State regulation of prices for bread and bakery products was introduced in Kyrgyzstan at the beginning of October. Measures have been taken to prevent price increases for socially important bread and bakery products and ensure their affordability for the population.
