Head of State Sadyr Japarov met with the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser. Press service of the President reported.
The sides exchanged views on current issues of cooperation, progress in the implementation of joint projects with IsDB in Kyrgyzstan, as well as on further expansion of cooperation.
Sadyr Japarov noted that the Kyrgyz side pays priority attention to cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank, and thanked for the support in the socio-economic development of the country. He paid special attention to the energy sector of the country and said that in the next five years a whole program of large-scale projects will be implemented to significantly increase the capacity and reconstruct the main generating capacities with the construction of new HPPs.
The head of state also touched upon the main project in the transport sector — construction of China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railroad.
In turn, Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser noted the high level of cooperation between the bank and Kyrgyzstan. He expressed readiness to further expand areas of interaction with the Kyrgyz side, as well as to strengthen bilateral relations.
The head of IsDB noted with satisfaction the projects identified by Sadyr Japarov as priority ones and expressed hope for successful continuation of project cooperation aimed at further social and economic development of Kyrgyzstan.
