Drug courier attempts to smuggle hashish into prison colony in Chui region

A man tried to smuggle three kilograms of drugs into prison colony in Chui region. Press service of the Interior Ministry of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The 42-year-old drug courier was detained near the fence of the correctional institution. Five briquettes of hashish with a total weight of 3,040 grams, as well as two plastic bottles with 844 grams of marijuana were found during personal inspection of the man.

A criminal case was opened under article 282 of the Criminal Code. The detainee was taken to the pretrial detention center of Moskovsky district.

Measures are being taken to identify other persons involved in the crime.
