Minister of Labour, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan Kudaibergen Bazarbayev spoke at the international forum «Accessible life for persons with hearing disabilities in the period of globalization».
As the press service of the ministry reported, the minister told about ensuring the rights of people with disabilities. The social security system of the Kyrgyz Republic includes various support measures, including benefits and compensations, provision of various services and prosthetic products.
«In just over half a year, all payments to adults and children with disabilities were increased from 50 to 100 percent. Payment for the services of a personal assistant has increased, which can also be received since last year by adults with a disability of the first group since childhood. To date, over 13,700 adults and children use this service. The amount of payments for food in psycho-neurological residential care facilities has been increased,» the minister said.
This year, thanks to funding through the state social order, non-governmental organizations will provide various services to more than 2,000 adults and children with disabilities. 13 million soms were allocated for this.
«The Social Contract project helps to improve the lives of people with disabilities. With the receipt of income from their business projects, the participants improve the lives of their families, in which more than 1,400 adults and children with disabilities live,» Kudaibergen Bazarbaev said.
