Some changes have been made to the operation of checkpoints on Kyrgyz-Chinese section of the state border since August 6. Press service of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (SCNS) reported.
Thus, Torugart-Avtodorozhny and Irkeshtam-Avtodorozhny checkpoints began to work seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Trucks will cross the border through the checkpoints all days of the week; tourists and other citizens on foot and in cars will cross the border from Monday to Friday.
Only trucks can cross the border through the checkpoints on Saturdays and Sundays.
In order to enter the PRC, citizens with an international passport need to apply for a visa.
Operation of the checkpoints in the specified mode will continue until September 30.
