The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov, during a working trip to Naryn region, got acquainted with the process of reclamation of tailings in Min-Kush village, Dzhumgal district. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
Uranium waste is being transferred from Tuyuk-Suu tailing dump to Dalneye tailing dump. Earlier, the president promised local residents that the reclamation would be carried out in accordance with all the rules. Therefore, the head of the Cabinet, together with the Minister for Emergency Situations, inspected the progress of work on the disposal of uranium waste on the spot, as a result of which the head of the Cabinet gave a number of instructions.
Reclamation work is carried out by the Russian Rosatom corporation together with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic.
