Import of vegetable oil was exempted from value added tax (VAT) in Kyrgyzstan. Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers says.
The decision was made to ensure the country’s food security and stabilize market prices for food products.
From May 15, 2023 to December 31, 2024, a zero VAT rate is set:
1) For taxable imports of raw vegetable oil (code TN VED EAEU 1206 00 9900) imported into the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic:
- By a subject only on condition of further delivery to the address of the manufacturer of vegetable oil;
- By a manufacturer of vegetable oil for further processing into vegetable oil;
2) For taxable supplies of raw vegetable oil (TN Code EAEU 1206 00 9900) made to the address of a vegetable oil producer;
3) For taxable supplies of vegetable oil (code TN VED EAEU 1512) produced from domestic raw materials and / or from raw materials indicated in subparagraphs 1, 2 of paragraph 1 of this resolution;
4) Taxable imports and taxable supplies of vegetable oil (TN Code EAEU 1512) carried out by the State Material Reserves Fund.
