American singer Tina Turner has died. SkyNews reported with reference to the press secretary of the singer.
«Tina Turner, the «Queen of Rock and Roll’, died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland,» the statement says.
Tina Turner is the winner of eight Grammy awards. Rolling Stone magazine called her one of the greatest singers of our time. The singer began her career in the 1960s and has since released nine albums.
Tina Turner was diagnosed with cancer in 2016 and underwent a kidney transplant in 2017.
