Rosselkhoznadzor inspects dairy plants in Kyrgyzstan: Results are known

Russia asks Kyrgyzstan not to issue veterinary certificates until inspections of dairy plants are completed. Deputy Minister of Economy Nazarbek Malaev announced at a meeting of the Committee on Agrarian Policy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.

According to him, Rosselkhoznadzor specialists checked five dairy processing enterprises of the Kyrgyz Republic in connection with a sharp increase in exports to the Russian Federation.

«Supplies of dairy products from Kyrgyzstan have increased, in connection with which an inspection was carried out. The Russian side asks not to issue veterinary certificates until it receives the results of the check,» Nazarbek Malaev said.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Nurdin Alisherov noted that the results of the inspection are already known. «The deputy minister is in Moscow, a meeting with the head of Rosselkhoznadzor will take place,» he added.

According to Nurdin Alisherov, 73 percent of the dairy products made in the Kyrgyz Republic are exported to Kazakhstan, 19 percent — to Russia.

«We are working on expanding the list of Kyrgyzstan’s exporters to Uzbekistan,» he said.

Rosselkhoznadzor specialists inspected five Kyrgyz dairy enterprises that supply dairy products to the Russian Federation from April 10 to April 16.
