The volume of cargo transportation by all kinds of transport in Kyrgyzstan in January 2023 amounted to 3.8 million tons. The National Statistical Committee provided such data.
During the reporting period, the volume of cargo transportation in Kyrgyzstan increased by 33.9 percent compared to January 2022 (2.8 million tons). More than 53 percent of cargo was transported by private entrepreneurs.
During the reporting period, about 3.1 million tons of cargo was transported by road, 636,600 tons by rail and 58,200 tons by pipelines.
The growth in the volume of cargo transportation was registered in all regions of the country, with the exception of Bishkek and Batken region.
The largest growth in the volume of cargo transportation was registered in Talas region. The indicator increased almost 6 times from 185,000 tons in January 2022 to 1.1 million tons in January 2023.
