The volume of deposits accepted by the banks of Kyrgyzstan during 2022 amounted to 339 billion soms. The National Bank provided such data.
Compared to 2021, the volume increased by 39.5 percent, or by 96.1 billion soms. At the same time, deposits of legal entities amounted to 134.6 billion soms (growth of 36.7 percent), individuals — 29.5 billion (increase of 13.9 percent), government bodies — 23.2 billion (growth of 49.8 percent), non-residents — 49.6 billion (2.6 times increase) and other financial and credit organizations — 2 billion (growth of 13.5 percent).
«Deposits opened in the national currency dominated in the structure last year. They are estimated at 184.9 billion soms. Deposits in foreign currency amounted to 154.6 billion. Over the past five years, the deposit base of commercial banks has increased by 154.7 percent — from 133.1 billion soms to 339 billion,» the National Bank said.
