Rescuers from Kyrgyzstan left for Turkey on instructions from the President Sadyr Japarov, where an earthquake of magnitude 7.4 occurred on Monday. Press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
On the basis of international agreements to eliminate the consequences of the earthquake, 63 rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations went to Turkey to search for and rescue people trapped under rubble. They took with them food for 20 days and search and rescue equipment.
The team includes rescuers, medical workers, psychologists and cynologists. Two trained dogs from the State Rescue Training Center will be involved in the search work.
Humanitarian aid will be sent to Turkey in the near future, the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted.
Earlier, the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the death toll had risen to 912 people, the morning earthquake was the most powerful in the country since 1939.
