Warehouses for storage of vaccines in the sanitary and epidemiological departments of Moskovsky and Keminsky districts of the Disease Prevention Centers of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance were repaired as part of Emergency Response to COVID-19 project. Press center of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, finishing work was carried out inside the premises with the replacement of windows, doors, floor coverings and electrical networks. Exhaust ventilation systems, water heaters and sinks were also installed, as well as sewer pipes were cleaned.
«As part of a project funded by the World Bank, it is planned to renovate three more and build eight warehouses for vaccines storage throughout the country. In addition, at the expense of the project, 50 freezers and 50 thermal containers for storing vaccines were purchased for the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance of the Ministry of Health,» the ministry added.
