Court fines human rights activist Aziza Abdirasulova 3,000 soms

Human rights activist Aziza Abdirasulova was fined 3,000 soms. The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek made the decision on Friday.

Aziza Abdirasulova was found guilty in an administrative case initiated under the article «Disobedience to the lawful demand of an employee of the internal affairs bodies» of the Code of Offenses.

During the hearing, lawyer Aliya Sagitova drew attention to the fact that on November 15, police officers came to the square and almost all the participants of the rally left the place of the protest. Several journalists, who did not participate in the rally, remained on the square.

«My client did not participate in the protest, she did not even monitor this rally. She went about her business. Seeing a familiar person decided to say hello to him. These points were not taken into account by the police. Aziza Abdirasulova did not have any posters calling for other people to join the rally. I ask the court to draw the attention of the court to the fact that the police officers did not show their official IDs,» Aliya Sagitova said.

Recall, the human rights activists Aziza Abdirasulova and Saparbek Argymbaev were detained on November 15 near the White House in Bishkek. They were charged under the article «Disobedience to the lawful demand of an employee of the internal affairs bodies» of the Code of Offenses.

Earlier, law enforcement officers asked the human rights activist not to publish information on Kempir-Abad reservoir on social media. She acts as a defender of the detained activists and bloggers and attends court hearings.
