Authorities of the country have directed all their efforts to the prompt solution of the problems at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. The President of the country announced at the first People’s Kurultai.
According to Sadyr Japarov, Kyrgyzstan has already determined borders with three neighbors, it remains to resolve issues with Tajikistan only.
«Our main goal is to solve border issues despite all the difficulties. We have an obligation to preserve the integrity of our lands and pass them on to the next generation,» he said.
The President believes that extensive explanatory work has been carried out under the agreement on the delimitation of certain sections of the border with Uzbekistan.
«We explained everything about Kempir-Abad. The border issues are resolved in two ways: through negotiations and the exchange of land, or through a war with seizure of territories. Kyrgyzstan, as a democratic and legal country, adheres to the position of resolving border issues peacefully. We will stand on this position in the future. The intentions of those who wanted to destabilize the situation in the country by the Kempir-Abad agenda did not achieve their goals,» Sadyr Japarov added.
