Argentine gymnast Ayelen Tarabini to represent Kyrgyzstan

By mutual agreement of the Gymnastics Federations of Argentina and Kyrgyzstan, as well as by decree of the President Sadyr Japarov, artistic gymnast Ayelen Tarabini will represent the Kyrgyz Republic. The Gymnastics Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

«These were long negotiations. The event could have taken place earlier, but the situation in the world, closure of borders and offices got in the way. Everything was finally settled. This is a titled gymnast with excellent training. There is time and place for quality training, and already in 2023 we will see her performance for the team of Kyrgyzstan,» the Federation said.

The Federation hopes that Ayelen Tarabini will serve as an example for the growth of domestic gymnasts.

«We have a lot of talented boys and girls. Unfortunately, we have a very weak training base, although there were agreements with other federations on joint work. We hope that, as before, sport will be out of politics,» the organization concluded.

The gymnast herself posted on her Instagram page that she was in Bishkek.

«I have no other words than gratitude for everything that I have experienced over the past few days. I met with the top leadership of the country and sports. Nearer and yet nearer is the time when I can once again spread my wings and fly for my dream and new goals together with you. I will keep you informed of all developments. As always, I am sincerely grateful to everyone for the great support and such close attention that you give me in our difficult but grandiose journey,» Ayelen Tarabini wrote.

Ayelen Tarabini is the bronze medalist of the 2008 Pan American Championships in vault and the gold medalist of the 2017 South American Championships in the floor exercise.
