The President of Kyrgyzstan met with the President of China Xi Jinping in Samarkand on the sidelines of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Press service of the head of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The parties discussed topical issues of Kyrgyz-Chinese bilateral cooperation, implementation of agreements at the highest level and joint projects in various fields.
Sadyr Japarov noted that the establishment of a dialogue at the highest level had a stimulating effect on the activation of the entire spectrum of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations of comprehensive strategic partnership. He stressed that further development of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations based on good neighborliness, friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership is in the interests of the peoples of the two countries and contributes to stable development in the region.
There are no unresolved political issues between Kyrgyzstan and China that impede the development of bilateral cooperation.

He added that the Kyrgyz Republic, as one of the founders of the SCO, attaches great importance to deepening all-round cooperation within the Organization, considers it as an important factor in ensuring security and stability in the Central Asian region.
According to him, further successful implementation of the One Belt, One Road initiative will contribute to deepening and expanding economic partnership, improvement of infrastructure and cultural interaction within the SCO countries.
Sadyr Japarov expressed the interest of the Kyrgyz side in accelerating the practical implementation of China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway construction project.
«I am sure that signing of an agreement of understanding on this project within the framework of this SCO summit will become an important basis for further practical joint actions between the Chinese, Kyrgyz and Uzbek sides. This document will consolidate the unity of intentions of China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in the construction of the road,» he said.
The President invited Xi Jinping to visit Kyrgyzstan.
«I am convinced that the visit will be a great contribution to the strengthening and development of good neighborliness, friendship and cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China, to raising bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level,» he said.
Xi Jinping accepted the invitation to visit Kyrgyzstan, the dates of the visit will be worked out through diplomatic channels.
The head of China noted that the meeting with Sadyr Japarov in February this year was fruitful, and a number of important agreements were reached during these negotiations.
«As the head of state, you are making great efforts to carry out reforms and improve the welfare of the people of Kyrgyzstan, which has found great support among your population. I am convinced that under your leadership the Kyrgyz Republic will develop steadily,» he said.
Xi Jinping stressed that China supports Kyrgyzstan in its reform efforts.
According to him, Kyrgyzstan is one of the friendliest neighbors and close partners of China.
The leader of China named the priority tasks that the two states are facing within the framework of bilateral cooperation, in particular, implementation of the program for the medium and long-term development of trade and economic cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the People’s Republic of China, an increase in trade between the two countries. Xi Jinping expressed readiness of the Chinese side to invest in Kyrgyzstan.
