The national team of Kyrgyzstan will take part in the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games, which will be held from August 9 through August 19 in Konya (Turkey).
According to the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy, 4,200 athletes from 56 countries will take part in the Games. Sportsmen will compete for 483 medals.
Kyrgyzstan will take part in 16 sports competitions: athletics, swimming, Greco-Roman, freestyle and women’s wrestling, 3 × 3 basketball, judo, fencing, weightlifting, karate-do, archery, WTF taekwondo, rhythmic gymnastics, kickboxing , traditional archery and table tennis.
The Islamic Solidarity Games are held for the fifth time. In 2021, due to the coronavirus pandemic, they were postponed to August 2022.
