The Islamic Development Bank is ready to sign a document on strategic partnership with Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce reported following the meeting of the head of the ministry Daniyar Amangeldiev with the head of the bank’s regional officeIbrahim Ali Shoukry.
The talks were held the day before in Bishkek. The parties discussed joint projects to support manufacturers of halal products and the importance of the mortgage lending program.
The document on strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and the Islamic Development Bank is designed for 2022-2027. It was discussed at a meeting of the Cabinet with IsDB President Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser in early summer. Then the Kyrgyz delegation suggested opening a bank office in Bishkek.
Today, the bank is implementing projects in Kyrgyzstan on development of infrastructure, energy, healthcare, education, food security and support for the private sector.
