The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic imposes a temporary ban on the export of granulated sugar and raw cane sugar from the country for a period of six months. The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet.
The resolution was developed in order to exclude the possibility of mass export of sugar from the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, ensure the country’s food security and contain prices in the sugar market.
The Ministry of Agriculture initiated the ban.
