Sanitary Inspectorate: Expired products sold in markets of Bishkek

Expired products are sold in large quantities in the markets of Bishkek. Sanitary doctor of the Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Kunduz Yesengulova told at a press conference.

According to her, after cases of mass poisoning in Kyrgyzstan, unscheduled inspections of trade facilities and markets have begun. Osh Bazary, Orto-Sai, Dordoi-Dyikan and Bereket-Universal markets in Bishkek have already been checked for the presence of cream and sugar confectionery products, the presence of accompanying documents and labels on them.

«We found out that expired products are sold in large assortment and quantity in all markets. As a result, 23 fines were imposed in the amount of 325,000 soms on the heads of markets and economic entities,» she noted.

Cases of mass food poisoning were registered in Osh on May 1, in Bishkek — on May 5, in Sulyukta — on May 10.
