The President of the country met with human rights activists. Activist Rita Karasartova told 24.kg news agency.
According to her, the meeting took place on the initiative of the representatives of the civil sector themselves.
«We were concerned about the current situation in Batken. We emphasized that many events in Kyrgyzstan are often repeated, but we do not learn the lessons. We talked about the ban on rallies, detentions, persecution of journalists. We are also concerned that the head of state is moving away from the people and living in his own world. We analyzed situations with pressure on the media, talked about the role of journalists during the pandemic, the Batken events in 2021,» the activist said.
She stressed that Sadyr Japarov gave many tasks to the staff of his administration on each topic of discussion.
«Sadyr Japarov asked us to monitor functioning of the telephone numbers of the administration of the head of state. He himself asked how long it took us to get to him. He gave instructions to the staff of the administration to check the work of all contact phone numbers for the appeals of citizens,» Rita Karasartova added.
Nurbek Toktakunov, Gulshaiyr Abdrasulova, Dinara Oshurakhunova and Erkina Ubysheva also participated in the meeting with President.
