President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov received the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision Dinara Kutmanova. Press service of the head of state reported.
The president was told about the main areas of work carried out by the ministry in the environmental sphere and the subsoil use industry, including the achievements of Kyrgyzstan over the past year and a half in matters of natural resources, ecology and technical supervision.
Since November 2020, the climate agenda has been chosen as one of the main priorities of the Natural Resources Ministry.
Dinara Kutmanova told about the implementation of Zhashyl Muras program launched on March 12, about the work to restore the environmental control system throughout the country and development strategy for the subsoil use industry, in particular, on the issue of state participation in the development of deposits in Kyrgyzstan.
The head of state and the minister also discussed the range of activities of the department on attraction of climate finances. These issues are expected to be resolved in the near future. Focus will be made on the energy and motor transport sectors.
Following the meeting, Sadyr Japarov instructed Dinara Kutmanova to intensify the high-quality and timely implementation of Zhashyl Muras program, speed up work on resolving issues of climate financing and state participation in the development of the country’s deposits.
