1,995 crimes solved in Kyrgyzstan with help of surveillance cameras

Police officers have solved 1,995 crimes and offenses with the help of video surveillance cameras of the Operational Control Center of the Public Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs since October last year. Press service of the department reported.

«As of today, 136 video surveillance cameras, connected with the Operational Control Center, have been installed in the republic: 70 — in Bishkek, 10 — in Chui region, 2 — in Osh, 10 — in Osh region, 25 — in Batken, 1 — in Jalal-Abad region, 2 — in Issyk-Kul region, 1 — in Naryn region and 15 — in Talas region,» the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed.

It is planned to increase the number of outdoor video surveillance cameras throughout the country this year.
