Environmental supervision inspector detained in Kara-Suu for extortion

The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) detained a senior environmental supervision inspector of the State Inspectorate for Environmental and Technical Safety of Kara-Suu district. Press center of the state committee reported.

It was found out that the inspector of Kara-Suu district extorted 30,000 soms from a man. A criminal case was initiated under Article 343 «Extortion of a bribe» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The suspect was detained while taking the money the day before, on March 3. He was placed in the temporary detention center of the SCNS.
