The 10th International Issyk-Kul Marathon Run the Silk Road — Shanghai Cooperation Organization will be held on May 14 in Cholpon-Ata. Its organizers announced on Instagram.
More than 3,000 people from the SCO countries, the Kyrgyz athletics team and all interested runners are planning to take part in the marathon.
Run the Silk Road has been a qualifying event since 2021 and, if the standards are met, gives an opportunity to secure a berth at the Asian Games, the World Cup and the Olympic Games.
The prize fund of the marathon is more than 1 million soms.
