Akhmatbek Keldibekov summoned for questioning, supporters hold rally

Supporters of the candidate for deputy from Azattyk party, Akhmatbek Keldibekov, gathered near the building of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) in Bishkek.

The politician entered the building for interrogation.

According to Zhyldyzkan Dzholdoshova, Akhmatbek Keldibekov was summoned for interrogation because he published his opinion about work of the server on his Facebook page. «The SCNS should have summoned the Chairwoman of the Central Election Commission, Nurzhan Shaildabekova. I consider the interrogation of Akhmatbek Keldibekov as pressure by the authorities,» she said.

SCNS Chairman Kamchybek Tashiev, who came out to the supporters of Akhmatbek Keldibekov, noted that the politician posted a video on social media where he tells about some schemes of the Central Election Commission. This information, according to the head of the security services, does not correspond to reality.

«Akhmatbek Keldibekov was summoned for interrogation within the framework of the law. He stated about some failures and schemes used by the CEC. This is not true,» Kamchybek Tashiev said.
