During the election campaign, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan registered 408 facts of violations of electoral legislation. Deputy head of the ministry Oktyabr Urmambetov announced at a briefing today.
According to him, 52 facts were revealed in Bishkek, in Osh city — 29, in Osh region — 91, in Chui region — 69, in Talas region — 27, in Naryn region — 47, in Issyk-Kul region — 23, in Jalal-Abad region — 52, in Batken region — 18.
«At least 67 crimes, 76 offences, the remaining 265 facts were registered in the information log. Some 175 facts were written off for lack of corpus delicti / misconduct,» Oktyabr Urmambetov told.
At least 22 facts of violations are under consideration.
Deputies of the seventh convocation of Parliament are elected in Kyrgyzstan today. The electoral system was changed in the country, so there will be 90 deputies instead of 120. As a result, 54 deputies of the Parliament will be elected according to the proportional system (open lists of candidates of political parties) in the single electoral district, 36 deputies — according to the majority system in single-mandate constituencies.
