The President of Kyrgyzstan called on Kyrgyzstanis to elect deputies of the Parliament, who will protect their interests and contribute to the social and economic development of the country, on November 28. Sadyr Japarov said this today at a meeting of the Security Council.
He noted the importance of holding parliamentary elections strictly within the legal framework.
«Nobody will forbid the people to exercise their voting right. Citizens must make their own choice. Not only the political, but also the social and economic development of the country depends on the election of deputies. Choose those who can protect your interests,» the head of state addressed the voters.
Sadyr Japarov warned officials once again, including heads of state bodies, about responsibility for the use of administrative resources and interference in the electoral process.
«All illegal actions must be promptly suppressed. You must not allow interference in the electoral process. Some officials still do not understand that we are undergoing drastic changes. They are still trying to take advantage of their position. As you know, measures have already been taken against them. No one is above the law. The State Committee for National Security should stop such actions,» the president said.
He called on parties and candidates to be open.
«Elections determine the future of the country. Elections are not a struggle for power and office. If we act within the law, the country will win. Compliance with the laws should be priority during these elections. I believe you can set an example. I think this is important. All measures have been taken to ensure the social and political situation in the country,» Sadyr Japarov said.
