President tells about billion-som revenues of state-owned companies

Revenues of the state-owned company MegaCom have doubled. The President of Kyrgyzstan announced at a meeting of the Security Council.

Sadyr Japarov considers this to be the result of honest work of the management of the cellular operator after he voiced the requirements for its top management.

«When I appointed the new head of MegaCom, an agreement was drawn up on the condition that he would increase the company’s revenues. Earlier, their income was 500 million soms. This year they receive 1.5 billion soms. Where did 1 billion go? In addition, they paid 3 billion soms in taxes, which is twice as much as in previous years,» the head of state said.

Sadyr Japarov gave another example. According to him, Kyrgyz Temir Zholu received 1,578 billion soms of net profit for six months. «For the first time in the past years they began repairing the railway and purchase wagons,» he said.

According to the President, Manas International Airport is also ending the year with a good profit.

«The profit of the airport this year is 3,110 billion soms instead of the previous 1,800 billion. Where did 1.2 billion soms go? This also applies to Dastan plant. The enterprise, which is mired in debt, makes a profit of 1 billion soms this year,» Sadyr Japarov said.

According to the president, these are the results of state supervision.
