Perinatal centers will be built in Osh and Talas. Press center of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reports.
The ministry and Management4Health company have launched the project «Maternity and child welfare. Phase VI-VIII,» funded on a grant basis by KfW Development Bank (Germany).
The ministry added that a meeting has already taken place with representatives of the bank, during which the parties signed documents on the beginning of the first stage of the project — mobilization of consultants.
«Further work is expected on data collection, proof of concept, detailed design, release of a tender package, evaluation and negotiations, and by the end of 2022 it is planned to award a contract and start construction of the perinatal centers,» the ministry noted.
The Ministry of Health added that the goal of the project is to improve access of all groups of the population to quality medical services, especially in the field of maternal and child health in rural areas.
