Construction of new building of Perinatal Center nearing completion in Bishkek

Perinatal Center of the National Center for Maternal and Childhood Welfare will start its work in autumn. The acting Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Zharkynbek Kasymbekov told journalists.

Construction of the facility began in September 2017. To date, the facility is 97 percent completed by the Turkish Tek-Imas company.

Construction and finishing work has been completed in the building; works on connecting external networks, asphalting and minor finishing work related to the installation of furniture and equipment are to be carried out.

The total budget is €13 million allocated by the German Development Bank.

The new building has 10 delivery rooms, three operating rooms, an adult intensive care unit with 12 beds and a children’s intensive care unit with 20 beds, as well as a pediatric intensive care unit with 14 beds, a central sterilization unit and a laundry room.
