Akylbek Japarov meets with Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov held talks with the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko as part of his working trip to Yerevan (Armenia). Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

The parties discussed development of Kyrgyz-Belarusian relations in various areas of mutual interest. Akylbek Japarov noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested in deepening cooperation between the countries in a wide range of areas, in particular, in the supply of municipal and agricultural equipment, public transport, as well as in the field of industrial cooperation.

«We are interested in providing the capital with Belarusian buses. The mayor of Bishkek recently visited Minsk, and we gave him the right to conclude a contract for the supply of buses. We know the quality of Belarusian products,» the head of the Cabinet of Ministers said.

Roman Golovchenko congratulated Akylbek Japarov on his appointment as Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and said that joint production projects are being successfully implemented between the two states, in particular, mentioning the production of transformers that has recently opened in Osh city. The Belarusian side expressed its readiness to launch projects on the production of a wide range of devices, including for the power industry.

Roman Golovchenko told that grant places were provided for citizens of Kyrgyzstan at leading higher education institutions of the Republic of Belarus in priority areas. The parties agreed to hold a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation in the near future.
