«Placement of the Turkic Investment Fund in Kyrgyzstan is fully consistent with the mission of the Turkic Council,» the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said in his speech at the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS).
The head of state expressed the hope that the Organization of Turkic States would become a good platform on the international scene for discussion of political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, social and humanitarian issues, as well as open up great opportunities for improving partnership and multilateral relations.
«We are confident that the current economic crisis can be overcome only by supporting each other. The Turkic Investment Fund, created at the initiative of the Turkic Council and supported by us today, has become a real instrument of our economic relations and plays an important role as a mechanism for the implementation of bilateral and multilateral projects. Given the absence of offices of the institutions of the Turkic Council in our country, we consider it expedient to headquarter this financial institution — the Turkic Investment Fund — in Bishkek,» he said.
Sadyr Japarov noted that placement of the fund in the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic has not only financial, but also political significance, because Kyrgyzstan is one of the founders of the Turkic Council. «In the main documents of our Council, great importance is attached to the observance and respect for equality,» he stressed.
