President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with the leader of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the sidelines of the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS). Press service of the head of state reported.
A thorough conversation took place on topical issues of bilateral trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Sadyr Japarov, welcoming Ilham Aliyev, stressed that Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan are fraternal countries.
He noted that Kyrgyzstan is always delighted with the success and achievements of the fraternal Azerbaijani people.
The President expressed interest in further building up partnership in the trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and political spheres. He noted the importance of enhancing relations between the business circles of the two states, which will help increase the volume of mutual trade, create the most favorable conditions for the growth of mutual trade.
In turn, Ilham Aliyev said that today’s CCTS summit is of historical importance for the entire Turkic world, including Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, as it is expected to raise the status of the Council to the Organization of Turkic States. In his opinion, this is a good opportunity to talk about relations between the two countries and interaction on a wide range of issues in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres.
The head of Azerbaijan expressed confidence that the meeting of the two leaders would give a good impetus to the further development of ties for the benefit of the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan. In his opinion, the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani cooperation is full-fledged and aimed at the final result.
The leaders of the two states expressed mutual interest in building up joint cooperation on all issues of mutual interest.
