Sadyr Japarov to leave for Turkey tomorrow

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov will pay a working visit to Istanbul (Turkey) on November 11-12. Presidential press service reported.

Sadyr Japarov will take part in the summit of the heads of the member countries of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS) on the topic «Green technologies and smart cities in the era of digitalization.» It is planned to sign a decision to rename the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States into the Organization of Turkic States, to adopt a strategic document «Turkic World Vision — 2040».

«This document is a kind of roadmap for deepening cooperation between the Turkic-speaking states for the next 20 years in priority areas. It is expected that the new name will have a positive impact on strengthening the organization’s position in the international arena and will stimulate expansion of its activity. In addition, it is planned to adopt a strategic document «Turkic World Vision — 2040», initiated by the first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in October 2019. It is aimed at developing the foundations for maintaining the potential of states, countering the challenges of the modern world,» Jeenbek Kulubaev, head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Executive Office said.

It is expected that during the visit, the head of state will meet with the heads of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Hungary. Issues of expansion of bilateral cooperation will be discussed.
