Kyrgyzstandard officially registered an U.S. Embassy air quality monitor. Press service of the diplomatic mission reported.
According to it, the Center for Standardization and Metrology of the Ministry of Economy (Kyrgyzstandard) registered the U.S Embassy air quality monitor (AQM) in the State Registry of Official Measuring Devices of the Kyrgyz Republic on October 28.
All state bodies, including the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry and the State Agency for Hydrometeorology (Hydromet) can now refer to its readings.
The U.S. Embassy installed the monitor in cooperation with the Kyrgyz Government in December 2018. As noted, such equipment is installed at more than 30 U.S. diplomatic missions abroad, including all Central and South Asia.
«The monitor provides high-precision data showing the level of air quality in the Embassy area in real time,» the diplomatic mission noted.
