The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan instructed the Government to consider the issue of social support of residents of the border areas in Batken region. The head of the parliament’s press service, Ibragim Nurakun uulu, told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the deputies considered the incident that occurred on March 13, 2019 on Kyrgyzstan — Tajikistan border until late in the evening. The meeting was held behind closed doors at the request of the government. According to the results of consideration, a resolution was adopted.
«In general, the Parliament instructed the Government to consider the issue of supporting the residents of the border areas in Batken region. The adopted resolution includes provisions that are already classified as for official use only. Therefore, now we can not say whether the decision will be published and in what form. This issue is being resolved,» Ibragim Nurakun uulu told.
Recall, the deputies considered the incident at the border. Before the meeting was closed, the deputies Karamat Orozova and Taabyldy Tillaev made reports. They offered to award those who suffered during the conflict with Dank medal, exempt border areas from taxes and solve social problems.
