State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety Inspectorate of Kyrgyzstan, in order to ensure safety of slaughter and meat products, temporarily closed 11 slaughterhouses. Press service of the inspectorate reported.
Slaughterhouses in Alamedin, Jaiyl, Sokuluk and Chui districts did not meet the veterinary and sanitary requirements. Most of all violations were found in Osh. At least 7 slaughterhouses were closed there.
The State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety intends to attract investments for construction and equipment of modern slaughterhouses. They have already been built in Ala Buka, Jalal-Abad and Uzgen.
