Kyrgyz athletes won five gold medals at Shinkyokushin Karate Open Championship of Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan. The President of Kyokushin Karate KWF Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Baatyrbekov told 24.kg news agency.
The tournament was held the day before in Taraz city. At least 300 athletes from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan participated in it. Seven out of eight Kyrgyzstanis won medals. Orozbek uulu Shamil, Ramazan Kanimetov, Bael Shermatov, Diana Alisultanova and Aidai Mantilakhun became champions in their categories. Nurmakhamad Kanimetov and Asylbek uulu Arslanbek took the second places.
