Kyrgyzstani Samarbek Sabyrzhan uulu took the 1st place at San Diego International Open Jiu-Jitsu Tournament. The International Jiu-Jitsu Federation reported.
The tournament was held in San Diego city (USA). Athletes competed in several age groups in two sections: Gi (in kimono) and No-Gi (without kimono).
Samarbek Sabyrzhan uulu performed among men — holders of purple belt. He defeated an American Miguel Ocana and became the champion in Gi section in weight category of 64 kilograms. In No-Gi section, he competed in the open weight category and took the second place, losing the decisive fight to Michael Egli (USA).
