At least 42 women died in childbirth in 2018 in Kyrgyzstan. The Deputy Prime Minister Altynai Omurbekova said at a meeting of Respublika-Ata Jurt parliamentary faction.
According to her, 52 deaths of women in labor were recorded in 2017.
According to official data, the infant mortality rate in the republic has decreased by 1.2 percent for the year.
