Kyrgyzstan has not granted amnesty to prisoners for three years. MP Iskhak Masaliev told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, he proposes to amend the Law on Amnesty. «According to my calculations, it should be granted to 4,000 people — this is the optimal number. But convicts are amnestied in connection with the entry into force of the new editions of the Criminal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code,» Iskhak Masaliev said.
I propose to release those who received a sentence under political articles, namely for trying to seize power by force.

The deputy added that the relevant parliamentary committee adopted the proposed amendments in the first reading, they were sent to the Chamber for consideration.
