Mayor of Bishkek Aziz Surakmatov instructed to strengthen work on fire safety at school and pre-school organizations, in markets and shopping centers of the capital.
«Risk of fires will increase soon as everyone will set off firecrackers, preventive work must be carried out,» he noted.
Participant of the meeting in the City Administration noted that the children playgrounds, cinemas are located on the upper floors of shopping centers, there are no exit signs in some of them.
«We know that there is such a problem, but nothing is being done,» said Aziz Surakmatov.
He addressed the representatives of the State Ecological and Technical Inspection: «All papers, all documents must be brought into compliance. Issue recommendations, instructions if there is a violation, let people eliminate them,» the mayor said.
Head of Sverdlovsk district Samarbek Bolotbekov asked to entrust the State Ecological and Technical Inspection with development of an order banning sale of unlicensed firecrackers. «Then we will be able to refer to this document during a check,» he said.
