Prime Minister demands faster establishment of Business Ombudsman’s Institute

The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev held a meeting on the establishment of an Institute of Business Ombudsman in Kyrgyzstan. The Information Support Department of the Cabinet reported.

The head of government noted that Kyrgyzstan improved its position in the latest Doing Business ranking. But the Prime Minister is confident that the government should continue work on improvement of the investment climate and creation of favorable conditions for doing business.

«Now we are working on issues of a moratorium on business inspections and creation of a business service center. The third issue is the creation of the Institute of Business Ombudsman. This is one of the effective business support mechanisms. This is especially true of relations with regulatory and inspection bodies,» Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev stressed.

As the Minister of Economy Oleg Pankratov noted, business had a lot of problems when interacting with government bodies. Difficulties arise not only in supervision, but also in obtaining permits.

The main problems of business are illegal actions of state officials in interaction with businessmen, violation of their legal rights and interests.

Oleg Pankratov

Oleg Pankratov stressed that the Institute of Business Ombudsman was a mechanism of protection through independent consideration of business complaints about the action or inaction of ministries and departments, state enterprises or joint-stock companies with state participation.

Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev instructed to speed up the creation of the Institute and to ensure thorough preparation of all necessary regulatory legal acts.
